What's the deal with the forced update? (Android)

Bug fixes? The energy bar and dodge bug fix? Or some stuff that nobody even knew existed and never inconvenienced anyone? Lol.

Not a clue, i'm currently inactive.

I don't care for minor updates, the game needs a big update! Bug fixes would be nice though.

Didn't even know update was available for iOS yet and it is already forced. I guess I'm not playing until I can get on some wifi.

Since the previous update i get more lagging and stuttering when changing from e.g. the pokemon list-view to the live-view.
Seems like it's graphics related to me.
So maybe they work on something that has to do with the graphics engine.
I like to think it's a rework in preparation for the next major update which may bring us new additional parts of the game.
But i don't know, and they don't tell us.

I will tell you that this clearly stabilized my GPS where I live. During the equinox event, I had so much drift I was able to hatch a full batch of 9 eggs overnight every night. As of the latest update, no more drift.
