what CP would be good to leave a pokemon in an undisturbed gym to get coins everyday?

There is one gym where I live and it is for the most part undisturbed since you have to get there on foot. I would really like my coins back so for reference what CP would give me that good 5hrs and then return with 50 coins?

Pokemons don't return for starvation.
Someone needs to attack the gym.

With that said, I would put a mon with over 3k CP.
He would be at 50% motivation after 5h and would be more likely to come back in the same day. After 10h it will need only one attack for him to return.

Why would you put anything at all if there is no action going on? I now only go to gyms in very crowded areas

Sitting in stagnant gyms and collecting is a thing of the past. Someone needs to kick your pokemon out of the gym for you to collect

so you should leave them in long enough for a descent collect or they will leave your gyms alone next time and you will get nothing.
