What is the best Rhydon move set against Snorlax?
With yesterday's changes making Rhydon a viable attacker against Snorlax and Snorlax's weakness to fighting moves, I think the Rhydon move sets against Snorlax, ranked in order of effectiveness, may be:
1. Rock Smash + Stone Edge
2. Rock Smash + Earthquake
3. Mud Slap + Stone Edge
4. Mud Slap + Earthquake
5. Rock Smash + Megahorn
6. Mud Slap + Megahorn
But I'm not sure if I have it right and how much dodging ability factors in to the ranking. Also, it seems like none of the move sets are bad. Please comment.

Well Mud slap has a DPS of 11.11 (13.9 with STAB) and Rock smash a DPS of 10.64. Mud slap has STAB and fighting has SE bonus on normal. Mud slap is also quicker (1.3 vs 1.4) and charges faster (9 vs 7). Energy gain is big everything else is almost identical against Snoralax.
I'd go with mud slap over rock smash, overall its clearly better. Against Snoralax Rock smash is only slightly better at best and up to debate. The strength of Rhydon vs Snoralax (hyper and slam only) is that normal is not effective to rock.

Snorlax and in that respect your analysis is a lot like the other person that responded in detail, except that you added analysis about quickness of moves and charging - but leading to the same conclusion: all of the move set other than ones with Megahorn are roughly equal. Great news for me.
if u dodge, which you normally should, you will place an attack between enemy attacks. Since RS is super effective, it compensates for the fact that it doesnt beneficiate from STAB.
This means that against Snorlax, factoring dodging, which is the optimal stategy, basically anything without Megahorn is equally optimal. Miniscule differences...
