What are you doing with egg incubators?

What I used to do was put Pokemon in gyms = get coins = buy egg incubators. You know how a bought egg incubator lets you hatch 3 eggs per? Well, I used to use 2 out of those 3 for 5 KM eggs. And then I would save the very last use for a 10 KM egg. (And I would use the infinite egg incubator to hatch the 2 KM eggs. If there weren't any 2 KM eggs, then I'd select the 5 KM egg) I found the most success using this method because more eggs hatched = more stardust and XP = more chances at 10 KM eggs.

With the introduction of the premium raid pass, I'm now...putting Pokemon in the gym = never getting them back = Ok, I finally get them back = coins = premium raid passes.

I just received my third 10 KM egg. And the bought egg incubator does let you use it three times. So I'm thinking to use coins on premium raid passes, unless I have 3 10 KM eggs at once then buy the egg incubator instead. Egg hatching is a nice way to earn stardust after all.

Thoughts?

I formerly would buy incubators to clear out 5k eggs, then more to hatch the 10k eggs. Now just 10k eggs for temporary incubators, I'm on my 3rd 10k egg since we got the big box surprise, dratini, larvitar, and ?. I'll get another set of temporaries when I get my next 10k egg

I turn them into nice flower pots.

At least until I can find enough 10KM eggs to hatch.
Currently got 1 egg of the new batch, I hope it's something good this time. Even a Chinchou would do.

Before, I was doing more or less the same as you: once I got an 10 km egg, I bought an incubator, use it for the 10 km egg, and use it for 5 kms eggs after that. I couldn't afford much more as I decided not to pay.

Now, I think the rewards for raiding are more interesting than the ones for hatching. So, I only use incubators for 10 km eggs and raiding.

Agree with the other posters, hatch rewards are very low now comparatively, unless you have 0 or few Dragonite, Tyranitar, Blissey.

Thus, infinite incubator for everything but 10k is how I'm doing it right now. Helps to bike. Raid passes every ~2 days are way better than 5k hatches, even with the dust.

Some players are short of dust. They should concider incubators instead of raiding passes.

It is really funny. We have a group of players in our town, who go by car from raid to raid, have hundreds of rainbow-candy and tens of level-20-tyranitars, lapras, snorlax..... but they have no dust to get any use of their ressources. :-)

I'm doing the same now as always, using limited incubators only on 10 KM eggs, all 2 and 5 KM eggs in the infinite. It takes a month or two to save up eight or nine 10 KM eggs, then there's usually an event that lets me get some bonus or another when I hatch them all at once. I don't go through all that many 10 KM eggs that way, so I've only ever bought 4 incubators, and hatched the rest with free ones from leveling, and the single-use Christmas ones. 5 KM eggs never seemed worth the coins to me.

I am similar in that I used to use almost all coins I got from gyms to hatch eggs. 10k if I had any, otherwise 5k. 2k always go in the infinite incubator, as they do now. Now however, I'm spending the gold I get on raid passes. The TMs are swinging it, but the last three days I've been rather busy so the gold has reached 150 and as I have three 10k eggs I bought an incubator. Think this is the plan. Hatch 2ks and 5ks out of infinite. Hatch 10ks from bought. It takes ages to get 3 10k eggs if you're not buying incubators so 3 days worth of gold is nothing. Hit the gyms every day.

I used to run 3 or 4 disposable incubators for 5k and 10k eggs, using my infinite one for 2k eggs.

Once my coins are gone I won't buy any more, partly because powering up pokemon isn't as important any more but mainly in protest of Niantic's greedy, money grabbing ways.

Last summer was walk/jog a lot to hatch a lot. Now people just drive around for raids.

I only use paid incubators for 10k eggs. At the moment I have no more need for incubators as I've reached level 38. It is a good source for dust but the 50 coins a day means I have to spend 2 days worth of coins for a single incubator and that if my Pokémon gets kicked out after 6 hours. In my city they get kicked out in 15 minutes, earning no coins or they stay in the gym for days earning no coins daily.

I'm on my last 8 paid incubators and once they finish I'm done buying them. He'll, I still have 25 lucky eggs from the last half off Sale lol
