What is with all the Ditto?

So over the last 3 days i've found over 20 ditto, Tuesday alone I found 8 and wasnt even going out and looking for them, all of them appeared right around my dorm, the same thing happened Wednesday and yesterday, i've been finding 2 or three ditto in succession and been having an unusually high number of weedle, rats and sentret breaking out and fleeing after the first throw.

Anyone else seeing this?
