Went all of a sudden from 3 to 6 SC Gengar, now what to do
So I know that this kinda sounds like bragging, as most players would die to just have one SC Gengar. However I had 3 already as a player from the start.
Anyway, I managed to get the L30 acc of a friend who stopped december 2016 and aside of some other legacy set the big price were clearly 3 SC Gengar.
I couldnt actually resist the idea of having a full squad of 6 SC Gengar, so i traded them all to my main account with my friends device.
The outcome was the following one:
10 12 13 lucky L28
10 9 14 non lucky L29
12 7 4 non lucky L23
I guess I was lucky on the normal ones; but Im legit salty with the lucky ones IVs and just one being lucky overall.
However Im sure, that they are still doing a ton more damage than a Hex one.
Anyway, would you guys power up a full squad of them? Im heavily afraid of wasting my ressources on a shitty IV one and getting 4 more chances of the field research breakthrough or even worse a community day with Shadow claw being the price.
Note that i have 2 98ones already, both maxed and a 73 one with 15 A at L15.
P.S: Yes i want to duo Mewtwo some day, but I doubt there is just anyone else in my city with 6 SC Gars lol

Its a lot of resources but over time max them all. Easier for me with the luckies. I'd 2 man Mewtwo with ya if I could. Id say max 2 for now. They are nice for quick damage on raids.
Eventually when a raid comes that it is really useful max more of them out. Or if you do find someone local to 2 man mewtwo then max them.
I have two maxed 14a, I would do another if it was lucky. My Mewtwo team is set though: 2 max SC; 2 max Mewtwo 15/11/15 and 14/15/15; two max Tyranitar 3670 and 3645. However, I’m also no longer raiding to get EX passes.
Got a 795cp lucky larvitar today and a 15/14/15 lucky shiny dratini yesterday...so won’t say never, yesterday woulda said never again for building another full Dragonite/tyranitar
I wouldn't but I have no more need for anti-psychics, especially with the precedent set for Body Slam Snorlax that caused a pathetic massive whining spree being re-released as a breakthrough research reward.
I have a single SC Gengar with 10atk that I haven't poured any resources into because of those two reasons.
If you don't have a use for them right now, don't spend any resources. Having a full squad is a status symbol of sorts for sure, but if you're worried about wasting your resources, do not power up 6 of a (admittedly great) niche counter when we know gen 4 is most likely coming soon.
I have 1 maxed and I have to say I've rarely felt any need to have a second one.
