Is weavile the god he's being hyped up to be? Would any of you max one out and if so would it be an ice or dark?
I currently have a dark one but i have about 600 candies and looking to evolve one with ice moves. Would you recommend maxing one out?
Weavile was personally my first Sinnoh Stone evo! It's great as both an Ice or Dark attacker. It'll soon be outclassed by Mamoswine in the Ice department but that doesn't make it bad by all means. It's the highest DPS dark option right now, just a little on the glassy side.
If you have the resources and candy, which you sound like you do, then I'd say go ahead! It's a fine addition to any raid team.
Weavile is still relevant in raids (Deoxys) and will continue to be in the near-ish future (lake trio and Origin form Giratina).
I will agree though that it's quite glassy in PvP. I tried using mine at the ultra tier, and was not all that impressed, so my plan is to max it and use it in raid lineups.
Weavile in practice feels even glassier to me than its stats would suggest, and its Ice typing holds it back in matchups in which it would otherwise excel, like Metagross and Dragonite (Steel Wing). It was my second Stone evolution, I love the design, and I even unlocked its second Charged move because it is a versatile high-DPS option. But it's already made its way out of my default gym rotation due to its lack of bulk and unfortunate typing.
