Weather question

Does the weather affect the Pokemon, or the attack. For example, if my Crobat (flying poison) uses Shadow Ball in the fog, is the shadow ball boosted (because it's ghost) or not (because Crobat isn't). Just an example, you get my drift.

According to what is shown in the attacks screen, it boosts the attack no matter the mon's type.

It seems to be that it's the move that's affected, not the pokemon, so Crobat's shadow ball would get the boost. It's regardless of the Pokemon's actual body typing.

Agree, to answer my own question. We're cloudy right now. Poliwrath with Bubble/DP - the DP (fight) has a bonus (20%), the Bubble (water) does not. So it's by attack, not by mon.

Yes, it seems to affect the attack. It can be checked on your pokemon. Let's say that it's a clear day and you have an Arcanine with fire fang and wild charge. You should see Fire fang showing the damage 11 + 2, but wild charge would show 90 as normally
