Water or Electric Lanturn.

Anyway, electric is better.
For water attacker, Vaporeon can get WG/HP too and all his stats are better than Lanturn's, even stamina.

I've Also got a soft spot for lanturn. I'd prefer double electric moveset to take down vaporeons. But im Not that rich in the TM and dust to do lanturn.

I agree with DragoniteSlayer that you'd be better off saving the TM ; Lanturn just isn't that useful in the current meta.

But if you're going to do it just for the love, which I can respect, then electric is better.
Compared to a pure electric like Jolteon, Lanturn has better resistance to ice, water, and steel (the only trade-off is weakness to grass), plus Lanturn is tankier than most electric-types.

I love Lanturn too. With the new gym meta allowing for players to throw different 'mon in gyms instead of always seeing the same old defenders, I wonder how a CB/HP Lanturn would do in gyms. With its defensive stats, I would like to see if it could get off a HP before the attacker's charge move, lol.
