Water Event - Lapras Sightings

I know it's probably just coincidence, but I just found / caught my second Lapras of this water event. What is strange is that it appeared at the same pokestop in front of my office, AND around the exact same time that I caught the first one on 3/22. Is there a correlation or just coincidence? What are the odds? All, I know is that I will be checking this pokestop again around the same time on Monday, Tuesday, and Wed next week when I go back to work.

Just an FYI. If you found a rare, try going back to the same stop at the same time of day you found it. There might be something to it, or just pure randomness.

Yeah, there is a spot at a local park which I know as a rare spot, seen Charizard, Togetic and Larvitar on that same spot.
Same with Snorlax and Lapras, if you have seen one, its possible it spawns atleast 1 per 24hours.. thats my guess, maybe around the same time too

Yah, never new it could be a thing. Definitely going to keep mental notes where I find rares from now on.

Been doing this with 2 Snorlax spots since near release. Has been fantastic. Definitely worth checking back. The time doesn't seem to matter but always the exact same spot. Good luck!
