In view of mewtwo public raids, any change to the attacker/defender meta?
After a month of mewtwo public raids, mewtwo will no longer be a rare attacker. Any change to the attack/defence meta then?
I intend to power up 2-3 mewtwos to diversify my attack team but I don't see any significant change on the current meta.

2-3? I've had moderate success with EX raids, and have 4 Mewtwos, three with PC/SB, one with C/P on my Machamp team. Given a month of Mewtwo raids, assuming one Silver Pinaps say half of them, just by using the free raid passes one gets, one could get almost 150 Mewtwo candy, which will power up 2 Mewtwos to a reasonable level. Spend a little on raid passes, and that goes up to 4-6. Catching that many will increase the number of really high IV ones, and the less strong ones can be traded for ones from far away for another 3 candy. Further, each one of those raids has a chance to earn up to 12 RC, which can also be spent on Mewtwo. I've been doing Kirlia, Alolan Eggy, Piloswine and Tangela raids solo lately, because Regirock doesn't interest me anymore. Back to the tier 5s once Mewtwo comes out.
Psychic Mewtwo, Shadow Ball Mewtwo, and Focus Blast Mewtwo will become very significant players in the meta. Hyperbeam Mewtwo might even have a role as a generalist on partly cloudy days.
As I said above, I have three with PC/SC and one with C/P. I haven't bothered to have one with FB because Machamp does that job well enough, but with this many available, I'll consider it strongly.
Glad that I have a couple of SC/SB Gengars (lucky) to help with fighting the FB variant, along with the 3 SB Mewtwos.
Yes, this will change the meta. Availability makes it that much better. Part of the new 'game' will be to find trainers with few luckies, and with old pokemon to trade for inferior Mewtwos (under 90%, given the lucky floor of 12), to get lucky Mewtwos that are higher level already.
My view is that Mewtwo is overrated. The only good use I have gotten out of my maxed out SB one is for psychic and ghost raids, and even then, I always start with my 3 maxed Shadow Claw Gengars. It isn't a good generalist despite its top "neutral" DPS because you need to switch it out against the normal types that dominate all gyms. If Niantic were to allow legendaries in gyms, this would change because you would need good Mewtwo and Lugia counters then.
Mewtwo is a good complement to Machamp. You don't fight Blisseys with Rayquaza either because it just takes too much time with neutral damage, it's fighting-type or bust against the normal types. Mewtwo notably is the #1 counter to Gardevoir and can handle any other Machamp wall efficiently with its high neutral damage and different coverage.
Mewtwo counters become more valuable than they used to be since now you might need them multiple times every day if you raid a lot.
Mewtwo becoming more easily available won't have a noticeable effect on the meta, whether it's in an area where it used to be rare or in a city where everyone had a dozen already. It's a good alternative to Machamp with FB or a good complement to Machamp with SB but neither role makes much of a difference.
Probably no change to the Meta; I've got 7 Mewtwo's and I never use them. I've got a few with Focus Blast and they're... nice? for attacking the Blisslax King gyms, but I don't notice enough of a difference between them and my Machamps to make it worth while to power up more than the 1 Mewtwo I've got powered up.
(I've had seriously bad luck with Mewtwo - every one I have is between 73 and 84, none have Attack higher than 13, none were caught with Shadow Ball and the ones I have now with Shadow Ball took like 4 CTM's each to go from their original move to Shadow Ball. I know, I know, "Level 40 Problems, Brah".)
Now, if they changed the Gym game so that either there was no Motivation, or Legendary's could be put into the Gyms, THAT might change the Meta when it comes to Mewtwo being so easily available.
