vaporeon questions,

hi guys babyFreez3 from TeamValor (lvl 33),
as you know new tiers being implemented , it creates a new defenders list and attackers..so my first question is
is my 100%IV water gun-water pulse(vaporeon) viable or not ? (what should we do with these movesets now ? )
and second one , should I power up my
86.7%IV 15atk15hp9def vaporeon with hydro pump? or keep it as a prestiger (it is 794 cp-ish)
I'd be happy if I'm answered thank you

These are good questions. I have a high-IV totally maxed out Vaporeon WG/WP that I will always probably use to pop in gyms, but I'm really disappointed at the WP nerf. On top of that, where I live, even a maxed Vape is getting hard to get in above the bottom.

I like your WG Vape as an attacker, but given how low he is, I might hold out for a WG/AT Vape which to me, now, is the best in both categories.

Agreed. WG/AT Vape is the best all-around water pokemon for defense and attack -- especially prestiging.

Do you have a lvl 30 or even better a max out hp vap? If yes, dont power up the low one.
If not, if you have the candys and dust I would do it, since means you had bad luck with evee evolves or you don't catch to many evees.
In case you wander, a HP vap beats a blissey of same lvl, and ofcourse a couple of Rhydons.
If 100 IV one gets you mid in gyms or at least on top of some blissey or snorlax, just do it, will be however you highest Vape forever.
I keep 3 vapes max out, one for each move, all 3 between 2867 and 2936 for gyms or fight and 2 Hp at lvl 30. And I plan to take to lvl 30 another 2 ATs and 1 HP. When in trouble, they save my lvl 8-10 runs better then lick/earthquake Snorlax that I have. They are ideal for max and hyper potions usage :)

Water Pulse is definitely the worst moveset for Vaporeon on both offense and defense now. However, try not to look at it in a vacuum. WG/WP Vape is still a top 50 moveset defender AND attacker.

On defense, it's better than Espeon, Golem, Flareon, as well as several Dragonite, Rhydon, and Gyarados movesets.

On offense (ignoring typing strengths and weaknesses), it's better than Exeggutor, Machamp, Flareon, Espeon, and some movesets of Rhydon and Gyarados.

No reason to jump ship on it. If you want to hold out for AT for defense and HP for offense you can, but I think you may underestimating it a little, especially as a 100 IV.

It's still very viable. Besides, in the future, Water Pulse might be a top move.

Yeah, somewhat ironically, while WP has been nerfed relative to other Vape attacks, it's actually been buffed as an attacker overall vs. other mons.

Before the update, it actually wasn't even worth using on offense and was better to spam WG instead. Now it does 40% more DPS than WG spammed by itself.

So while I'd agree it's clearly the worst Vape moveset, it's also a very viable attack Pokemon and if the other 2 movesets didn't exist he'd still be a top tier attacker

WG/WP Vaporeon goes in the suicide squad.

Attack 'til it faints, then transfer for one 'stinkin Eevee candy. She isn't worth a potion.
