I know someone who does it, in fact I know a few people who've done it, I'm always clowin' them in person. I've met a lot of people who aren't purist, it's the Spoofers I don't like. Staying home and playing while I'm bustin' my butt in the street REALLY bothers me. All the other stuff, I don't trip on much.
It is what it is. And no, they haven't been banned.
There is nothing in the ToS about this specifically, unless they have changed the ToS in the last couple of weeks.
However, just the fact that you feel the need to ask suggests that you already know it is questionable and against the spirit of the game.
I personally would not risk it, as my account is worth more to me than an extra 60-80 evolutions worth of XP.
It's stealing to be blunt. A good friend of mines does it, and I told him the other day, it's going to be part of your Trainer legacy -- if you can be okay w that, then that's on you. I'm not.
Funny thing is, he's a great trainer, doesn't spoof and goes hard. His reason, it saves him money. I get it, but I told him he's getting XP he didn't earn. He laughs. Oh well. ?
Agree it's stealing from Niantic because it's making 1 lucky egg count as 2 (or more?) - OTOH, respectfully disagree that he's getting XP he didn't earn - he had to grind just as much candy. Consider if Niantic specifically allowed multiple device mass evolutions but you had to activate a lucky egg on each device. That would be the best of both worlds - not having to wait through a repetitive animation. Alternatively if a 2nd lucky egg could act like an accelerator, that would allow ppl to maximize their 30 minutes of clicking OK over and over and over....
