Using Two Accounts the Friendly Way - Opinions?
Thinking of a new tactic, requiring two accounts (I know, against TOS, but in a nice, not mean way).
Take over gym with "Main" account.
Use second low-level account to put in a Sub 30CP pokemon. Prestige up to 50,000 using a technique similar to Bubblestrat (though not exactly, I could never get bubblestrat to work. My way uses weak potions)
Use high-level account to add a real defender.
Now, if the opposing team comes first, it's an XP giveaway! Whomp the weak pokemon 49 times, for a fast 4,900XP. You can probably do it with one pokemon and no potions. They'll probably take out the Blissey too and go for the full 5,000XP.
If a friendly team arrives first, there are 8 open slots for defending pokemon. Add one and get some stardust, no fight required.

Since that behavior mimics legal behavior (think of a parent/child combo, or just cooperating with a friend) I personally don't see it as a problem. But as we all recognize, having 2 accounts is an example of cheating as referenced in TOS... I personally have more of a problem with cheating via gps spoofing or otherwise hacking the code - but a second account as someone else described here where they walk and level up the normal way by catching PKM just doesn't bother me - after all, that means they're giving up the XP and items that would otherwise go to their main account so they are at least making a strategic choice in how they choose to play this game.
I don't see anywhere in TOS or the Guidelines anything about multiple devices, just multiple accounts for a player. There was a thread here about evolving under a lucky egg with multiple devices will let one far exceed the 70-80K xp that one can earn in a half hour - I can see where Niantic could be mad about ppl NOT buying lucky eggs ... but if someone has saved up that much evolve spam and candy then the result to other players is exactly the same, whether that person gets it all in 1/2 hour or over many hours.
I didn't say that if you use the same account on multiple devices then it contravenes the ToS.
The post I responded to mentions that a player has to choose between which account to train if they have multiple accounts...and suggesting it was not so bad.
My response pointed out that multiple account users can use multilpe devices to train multiple accounts simultaneously.
