Just how useless is the current sightings system.

Seriously it is the most infuriating thing ever.

Pokemon almost seem to appear and dissapear sometimes at random off the sightings, you walk one way it dissapears, walk back to your starting point its now gone!

It's almost as if they want you to spend all your money on lures and incense.....

theres not really any reason for lures or incense with the spawn rate increase.

neither one actually attracts pokemon on the sighting list to you. they basically just spawn extra pokemon.

The only thing that sucks about the system is when you get very close it will disappear off the sightings, making you think you went the wrong direction.

This just happen to me when the sightings window is "full".
I am also fine with this system. It is not a tracker, just an indicator of mons around you. Chasing is possible. Not comfortable but okay^^

I recently downloaded pokealert to check the current radar because I was thinking the same.
don't even keep bothering monitoring your sightings. totaly random order, everything comes and goes randomly... will be using pokealert till they release a working tracker

more than 9 mons will make things bad

Its useful for giving you an idea of the types of pokemon around, but the area is much to large to be able to track them down, its huge! like several blocks wide.
