"Use an item to evolve a Pokemon" field research
I got this task twice. What is the reward encounter? It is not listed at https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/research-tasks-list.
With only four Sinnoh Stones and the upcoming Swinub day, I have to decide whether to delete the task or what to evolve.
Rhyperior: My only Ground attackers are two Rhyperiors, a Groudon and a Rhydon, while my only Rock ones are two Tyranitars (I have others to power up) and two Golems.
Weavile: Evolved a 93% for the Dark set alongside my four Tyranitars and one Houndoom (plus two legacy Gengars). Next best one is 84%. My main Ice attacker is Articuno, with a Jynx, a Cloyster and a Walrein as backup. Of course, Mamoswine is coming!
Roserade: Evolved a 96%, which got Razor Leaf + Sludge Bomb. Next best one is 84%. No other Poison attackers, while my Grass lineup comprises a Sceptile, an Exeggutor, a Frenzy Plant Venusaur and two Solar Beam Venusaurs.
Magmortar: I have a perfect Magmar and almost enough candy to power it up to level 30. My Fire squad comprises an Entei (with Overheat), a Moltres (with Sky Attack), a Flareon (former prestigers not counted), a Charizard and a Blaziken.
Togekiss: Enough candy to evolve, but not enough to power up.
Electivire: Not enough candy to evolve despite needing more Electric attackers.

You can also use the "older" evolution items like sun stones or king rocks. I had a ton of porygon candy so i used an upgrade to evolve one for the task. I dont remember exactly what it is but i think it was an aerodactyl or something important to the meltan quest.
Edit: it is aerodactl. Its not part of thr heoen event you have to look under January research quests
