Update: Niantic has made another server update!

Starting from today, only level 30–40 trainers will see the same IV/height/weight/moveset, compared to level 25–40 before.

It is currently unknown if every trainer will see completely different stats of a same Pokémon, just like the shiny Magikarps/Gyaradoses in the near future.

Trackers and spoofers, you may be banned soon and/or being completely useless. How is the future going? Contact Niantic, the current game developer.

Why don't make it complete random to everybody?

That might be more complicated and resource intensive given the vast number of pokemon spawns.

Why do people think this change is anything to do with shinys...when it is clearly just something to do with scanners and bots.

Personally I think people are grasping at straws to think it indicates shinys...basing that one the fact we got shiny Magikarp without this change.

Why do people think that suddeny they need some different mechanic for other mons to be shiny.

Do we really think that everyone over lvl30 will get to catch a shiny if the person next to them does as well?

On topic....interesting they made the change.

NB I am not saying you said it has anything to do with shinys....but many seem to think these changes are to do with shinys being added to the game.

Regarding trackers - I still find it useful to know if a rare spawns (relatively) nearby and if I have to run for it or not. It's nice to know the cp/iv/moves but not really necessary. In fact, now that I dont know if the mon has good or bad IVs/moves, I get excited every single time instead. Any one feel the same?

And yes, I do use a 3rd party tracker because the Nearby-feature is still flawed and doesnt do its job properly.

I will admit that I wish the nearby tracker was given as much attention for improvement as the 3rd party trackers are given attention to be removed.

They need to fix the nearby for anyone that doesn't live near a mass of pokestop...you know, a large percentage of players.

And especially for players that live half a km away from pokestops. The sightings near* my house since they updated the tracker only shows three pokemon at the best of times because there is a church a couple blocks in one direction and two more pokestops on the edge of my map in other directions. There is a small area to the east of me where those three stops all fall out of range from me before I come into range of the one stop at a park.

*And why is the labeling still mixed up? Pokemon that are near me are "sightings" and pokemon seen far away are "nearby".

I hate that...1 pidgey over half a km away and my nearby drops by 6 mons, down to only 3.
If 4 are at stops in range of messing with the nearby, then suddenly nothing at all useful shows up.

I can not understand why something at a stop half a km away needs to remove a full line of possible listings.

As many millions that are playing this. Would it still not be feasible to successfully bot, hack, log the data and shard it? I'm not condoning or encouraging such disreputable behavior. I do feel there would be a better way to go about it such as the previously mentioned random for everyone everywhere concept.

I can‘t catch you. What do you mean by saying" only level 30–40 trainers will see the same IV/height/weight/moveset"
Why would "every trainer will see completely different stats of a same Pokémon" ? Why the stats change?

its mean... there is 4 trainer lvl 14, lvl 20, lvl 30 and lvl 40 see/catch the same pokemon in the area. lvl 30 and lvl 40 get a same stat snorlax with 50iv( movesset lick and earthquake) but dif for under lvl30. example maybe lvl14 get 88iv(moveset zen, hyperbeam) and the lvl 20 get 100%iv(moveset zen heavy slam)

As always Niantic is late, not a single good move made by them in time. Spoofers/booters and cheaters already have hundreds of top tier mon at max iv and cp at this point, the damage has already been done and I am not seeing hack accounts getting banned, youtube channels going down and websites that sell hacked accounts getting closed...

They are just targeting trackers, while I agree that it is a form of cheating tracker users are not the main problem if they actually walk to the mon there are not enough rare spawns on a walking range to make a big impact on your gym area and if the in game tracker was good all legal players would use it instead of tracker sites.

Spoofers/botters get hundreds of rare mon per day teleporting from country to country. If all those accounts are not banned they are just giving them more profit whenever trading comes out, making top tier mon and good iv ones harder to get for legal players only benefits cheaters.

So we just have to make their stock of high-quality mons useless. This was already done once with the rework of the moves, which relegated a lot of former best movesto 2nd or 3rd tier. I fully expect an equivalent hit on the IVs eventually. If they expand the IV range to e.g. 25, all the collected 15/15/15 will drop from 100% to 60%.

Would they ever do that? I mean, I thought the stats that a pokemon has in Pokémon Go is identical to the stats they have in the handheld games including the +15 IV numbers. Of course, CP is unique to Go so they could change that formula whenever.

Damage already done. Only Cheats left in the game now at the top level. Have never meet a legit trainer of my level. Never! Don't care about movesets any more or ivs or CP or gyms.
