Today I evolved ten eevees, and none of them turned into the new ones which I had been hoping for. I haven't used the naming trick yet. Was I just unlucky, or is there some trick to evolving these (other than the one time ones)?

The most effective ATM
Espeon – give the nickname Sakura.
Umbreon – give the nickname Tamao.

Naming trick works on them. Change Eevee's name to to "Sakura" or "Tamao" before evolving and you'll get it.

Buddy up for at least 10kms and evolve while it is your buddy.
Do it at day or night depending on which you are hoping for.

NB This is yet to be 100% confirmed, but early tests have given positive results.

Thanks. This was the kind of trick I was wondering about.

Did they change it so that you can evolve a buddy, while the Pokemon was your buddy? This wasn't something that could be done before.

Does the naming trick work more than once? I have 4 Eevees 87-93% that I'm trying to decide what to do with. But can I do it more than once - the naming trick?
