Tyranitar is a bad defender, only high CP so i'd go with the best offensive moveset:

Agree. Go with the best attacking moveset. The best defensive moveset won't make him a strong defender - he will be taken down easily no matter what.

You've got one with the best defensive moveset and one with the best offensive moveset. On top of that, the defensive one got higher overall IVs and perfect ATT, which means very close to max CP.

You really can't complain there buddy. The only real question is: do you want a defender or an attacker?
Both are worth powering up for sure

Where do Larvitars tend to spawn? City, Park, near to water.. is there anything like that? Are there nests, frequent spawnpoints or is just random and really rare?
I'd like to know the same for Mareep.
