Tyranitar vs Exeggutor

In the newly updated raid boss counters, Tyranitar is now one of the good counters for Exeggutor. But, the recommended movesets are Bite and Crunch or Stone Edge.

I would like to ask why Fire Blast wasn't included. It is also SE to Exeggutor, and is actually better than both Stone Edge and Crunch in the absence of STAB.
On the other hand, I think Stone Edge shouldn't be included.

Probably since dark is super effective against both grass & psychic. Agreed on Stone Edge.

Bite is actually just super effective against Psychic, neutral to grass.

Against Exeggutor, B/C is best, followed by B/FB and last is B/SE. Actually if you work the numbers, B/FB is just slightly behind B/C.. around 40 dmg.

But the long duration for FB makes it a little less appealing in reality so taking into account actual dodging scenarios etc, B/SE can still be just as effective especially conserving your HP.

IMO, it's solely because both C and FB have such long animations, and missing a dodge with Eggsie is rough because of how much damage it delivers with Confusion and whatever Charged move it happens to have. SE avoids all that, while Bite does the lion's share of the work.

Confusion is a legacy move, you won't ever find a raid boss with that move.
Anyway, Exeggutor is 'immune' to psychic, but weak to grass. You wouldn't want to use a T-Rex against one with Seed Bomb.

I find the exeggcutor boss really easy. My CP 3276 steel wing/hurricane dragonite can just about beat it itself.
