My current ttar team is:
1) 3567 B/C 15HP 15A 12D
2) 3420 S/S 11HP 15A 14D
3) 3337 S/S 11HP 14A 15D
4) 3321 B/C 15HP 14A 12D
5) 3319 B/C 12HP 14A 15D
6) 3210 S/S 15HP 14A 11D
7) 3011 S/S 15HP 14A 13D
8) 3009 S/S 13HP 14A 14D
I feel like I need another bite and crunch tyranitar for mewtwo raids, alakazam solos, etc. Here are the candidates:
Larvitar 357 15HP 14A 14D
Tyranitar 2337 11HP 15A 15D
Tyranitar 2079 13HP 14A 15D
Or should I just continue powering up the other ones? Thanks for the input.
Whether it makes sense to spend resources on a new one heavily depends on what it would replace in your teams. What are your team members 4-6 since you only have 3 B/C Tyranitars powered up?
As a rule of thumb, replacing a non-top counter with a top counter is better than powering up your top counters higher.
Having a fourth dark Tyranitar wouldn`t hurt, but I'd also power the dark Ttars that you already have. I like level 37 as compromise between cost and increase in strength.
You can keep leveling at least two rock Ttar but you could also wait until they are useful again (the birds just left...).
So if you need another team member for Mewtwo, power another dark one, otherwise power the existing ones a little more.
That is a lot Ttar already, i would save the candy by not evolving another one
6 is good enough for 1 battle party
For mewtwo raids, depend whether you are raiding with a lot of trainers or with only a few (4-6 trainer)
If you raiding with a lot of trainers, just use those 2 TTar left in 2nd battle party with any good or decent counter
Raiding with few trainer, i make another party with ghost moveset (mine is 3 Gengar, 3 Mewtwo) i use this 1st, TTar Squad become 2nd parties to rejoin. Sometimes I use 1-2 houndoom mixed with TTar just because i like it. Mine are at level 34-40
No raining yet in my city so i am not making a Bug type squad yet.
For Alakazam solo, it is just my personal opinion. I dont like using 6 Tyranitar soloing Zam, too slow..

The answer is whether you ussually raiding with a big group, or you dont have much choice than raiding with a smaller group
I'd power up the 11/15/15 (s/a/d) one, as I feel that defense is more important than stamina, and it's higher level so less candy/dust. If one doesn't have 6 B/C Ttar, one doesn't have enough, and with Mewtwo's boosted boss strength, if you fight it with less than 10 average or 7 quality trainers, you'll be into your second team. There's still plenty of time left on Mewtwo, so I'd argue this is a sound investment of dust. Wish I had that pool to draw from for another power up.
