Tyranitar double attack, normal?

I was catching a raid Tyranitar, it double attacked 6/12 (50%) times. Is this normal?

Yes, he is very aggressive thats why most noobs use nanab and "claimed" nanab is better and increase the catch rate.
Their not wrong though, it helps to register the catch instead of a wasted ball.

This is what I thought it was for as well, but I'd just like to say that I caught several in a row using this method. Same with people who told me not to press "ok". I tried that a few times and watched as a large portion of my groups made he capture.

Idk if it's totally legit or pure luck, but it's something of the sort

If it works for you good, keep it that way but if you use a gold rasp you can actually see with your own eyes the red circle turning orange thus making it easier to catch.
I dont know about others but I cant see the colour change before and after a gold rasp on a legend.

But the problem here is you need to master to throw the ball after the attack animation and Tyranitar is notoriously aggresive and does double attack as OP mention and the window between the 2 attack animation is so small so using a nanab prevents the balls wastage.

There were plenty of topics on this before legends were released but now people are all about legends and mewtwo.

Tyranitar is pretty much constantly attacking or jumping. Probably the most aggressive raid boss.

The real trick with nanab is that it reduces movement by ~90% allowing you to more accurately get a great to excellent hit. Then after that hit, if it breaks out, there is a lingering nanab effect that reduces movement by ~25%.

Lugia does this to me alot.... not the other bird though, Lugia's flip is so weird that you sorta have to give it that extra 1/2 second to make sure the circle shows up. then all the sudden it is flipping again.
