Tyranitar B/FB

I talked a bit yesterday about B/FB Tyranitar not being as crazy a choice to eventually power up after the changes are made...or now if you are desperate for a Blissey counter.

I ran some sims against Blissey are here is some interesting info:

Tyranitar (dodge specials PRO, with both mons at Lv 30)
The percentage is damage. So "181.2% means this Tyranitar could take out 81.2% of the next same Blissey)

Tyranitar:

B/SE-181.2%, 60.7 seconds.
B/C-169.7%, 64.8 seconds.
B/FB-168.8%, 64.8 seconds.

Dragonite:
DT/O-164.3%, 58.7 seconds.
DT/Hu-152%-59.5 seconds.
DT/HB-150.2%, 64.2 seconds.

Shockingly FB performs very well compared to Crunch and as well or better than most Dragonite options too depending on what you prefer in damage or time.

I don't use sims that much but I have seen some questions about whether FB is a completely crap moveset on offense and I do not think that it is. However I thhink I would still wait for the possible gym change before going nuts and investing the house in one. Partiallly because B/SE is so much better than all of the "back to back Blisseys with a 6 slot limit" options.

Thoughts? Mistakes?

Seams like my chances to not be disappointed when I will evolve my first Tyra are 50% since I want an attacking Tyra (I also kept all my 3 Dragonties out of gyms in last couple of weeks, proffering to battle with them).
This confirms my view from yesterday that B/FB is a good Tyra to power up if it is your first Bite Tyranitar and the candies came hard to you.
Here the same link as yesterday for a general classification with Dodge All Weave, the new kid in the town of simulation styles:

Our Tyra is right before WG/Hp Vape.

Fire Blast is decent on attack. My main complaint is the intended reason for an off-type counter like this is type coverage for a defender. But in that case, Flamethrower is much better for defense and also marginally better for offense. Tyranitar can learn both from TMs in the main series games. Why did Niantic give Tyranitar the much worse of the two?

Stone Edge vs Rock Slide has a similar comparison. They are very close on offense with the 50 energy move just a little better, but on defense the 50 energy move is a lot better.

Niantic should have given Stone Edge for an offensive moveset and Flamethrower for a defensive alternative.

That is a fine piece of info and partially why we are only discussing his attack capabilities and hisusefulness there. Good info though.
