Typhlosion w/Ember Fire Blast

Hello!

Just evolved my quilava and I got Typhlosion with Ember and Fire Blast. It has a B rate for attack moves. I'm kinda disappointed. What do you think? Is it worth it to level up? Or should I earn more candies for another one.

I'd wait for the gym rebalance, rigth now if you want a Fire type attacker, you really want a FS/O one (Flareon or charizard), or a FF/FB arcanine. Then again... what are you killing with a fire type pokemon anyway?

Thanks! I will wait then. And you are right, unless I found a nasty Victreebel defending a gym, I will have my fire pokemon unwind a little :)

Fire works well as a general attacker, also good for Eggys and occasional Lapras (unless it has HP)

Yes, having said that, they are not complete useless, Flareon and Arcanine are actually good "general attackers", they can make short work of Snorlax and blissey if you don't have other general attackers (Dragonite, Tyranitar, Lick Snorlax [sloooow], Exeggutor, Vaporeon or Gyarados), or direct counters (Machamp/Heracross).

Yeap, I wish they improve Arcanine as it was before the CP change. Snorlax Lick attack is Slow? Didn't know that. They say it is good for charging hyper beam. My Gyarados has Twister so I'm gathering candies for another one. Let's hopefor a little bit of luck xD

Wait for rebalance. Double fire moves though, hard to complain. I would invest in it if you want to power a typhlosion though. Best fire attacker I use is a FF / FB Arcanine , haven't had much luck with starters and waiting on the random dice roll for Flareon.

Yeah Arcanine is one efficient and loyal pup! I also have one with FF/FB. Also have a Charizard with Wing Attack / Fire Blast which was grade A, now is B. Oh sweet Wobbuffet! Hard luck! I should have waited for new attacks before evolve it. Now I need Fire Spin - Overlash / Overheat. Hope we get lucky dude! :D

Fire Blast is B-rated because Overheat is bonkers. Same energy cost, less time, more damage.
