Two hours two lured portals = softban(pokemon catch cap)?

Looks like me and my wife just hit catch limit?
Every next pokemon flees away, pokestop spins does nothing.

We are not hardcore players and I hardly can imagine that we've caught 500 'mons even with lured ones.

Spin the pokestop...it can take up to 40 spins to remove the softban

My wife and I just went to a park with 5 pokestops in a nearby cluster. This spot also happened to turn into a houndour spawn location. It also has a river running right through where we were. Four of the five stops had lures running. We said, "Eureka!"

Then we tried to play. No pokestop works- just spins. EVERYTHING runs away after one hit regardless of what combination you try. After wasting 30-40 balls/items we left for home to discover that nothing is working anywhere. (We did get credit for km walked- hatched a couple eggs)

I think the grass event broke my little city.

Anyone else?

Did you happen to notice the names of the accounts that placed the lures?
Were they random letter and numbers, or did they appear to be legit player names?

I was honestly so shocked that I didn't take the time to look.
