Even if the auto-selector favours survivability over DPS, this selection is just out of left field.
The Hariyama was the first defender, and had C/CC.

PS: I've had auto selector choose my Blissey on defending Blissey. But this is the first time I've seen the auto selector choose a Pokemon species (and 4 on top of that) against its hard counter.

2 Slaking

Odd indeed since i seldomly use slaking for attacking aside of lulz.

What's the last Pokemon in this gym? Under my impression, the auto-selection is based on the last Pokemon or at least is largely influenced by it.

We may have found a new strategy to set up gym defense line-up; trolling auto-selection!

This would be even stranger if the Blissey/Slaking knew Fairy moves and the Snorlax knew Earthquake or Heavy Slam
