They won't. There would have been info in the master game files that would have been datamined already.

As Gandalf1725 has stated they can't, there is no way gen3 is comming even a lot of people is speculating about it. The moves are not on the game master file and there are no fixes for abilities like Slaking. So turn down your hype, not gonna happen even if we all would love to see it.

The triple xp for new entries is a bonus in order to make new players "rush" completing gen1 and gen2 because gen3 is close, and by close I mean in a 2/3 month period I think. This is just my guess of course.

Even if they will, it'll not make that much difference: even if you'll manage to get 100 new entries it's only 100k extra xp, not bad but not crazy.

Yep, not much of a perk. I've got one evolution I can do I was saving for the next mass evolve.

2nd worst perk in event history. Number 1 will always be the Dick in the Box during their 1 year anniversary.

I'm hoping for it, but not expecting it. Best I can hope for is to finally catch a Lapras. Still don't have one.

I wonder if there could be a partial release of gen 3, similar to the gen 2 babies that were available in 10k eggs during the Christmas event? (Although I would suspect 2k, not 10k eggs this time).

Otherwise, this triple XP for new Dex entries just doesn't make a lot of sense. Most serious players have most of the mon they can reasonably get and only one different legendary will be released near the end of the event.

Sometimes Niantic does manage to present us with a nice surprise - like the new free shirt for your avatar (yes, another one - check it out!) ?
