Trading concerns

I love the idea of trading Pokémon. It can open up a whole new aspect to the game. However I am concerned about players taking advantage of it. What prevents me from trading my second best Pokémon to another account that I create that is associated with another team? Then attacking a gym that is friendly with my first account and knocking out 1 spot so my primary account can place a pokemon at that gym.

This is just one example I can think of that allows people to take advantage of trading. I hope this makes sense.

There are a lot of problems associated with trading and I see no way they can ever be addressed.

The main one that would concern niantic is it would hurt their profits, why would I keep buying incubators to hatch 10km eggs for a lapras when I could just trade for it for free?

I think they will continue to say trading is coming but will never implement it.

Side note:I highly doubt PvP will be implemented either. They have 70 employees, I doubt they would focus their attention on such things that would have new bugs to fix every week and make the framework to connect players in the first place.

The last time Niantic made any mention of trading, it sounded like it was a long way off.

I'm not keen on the idea of trading unless it's very carefully controlled, and I'm not sure how it can be.

A trading system would be money laundering for bots.

I see no upside to trading for Niantic. There may be a few players that may finally complete their pokedex via trading. But I'm sure folks will find ways to abuse the trading system and then more people will abandon the game.

Even though trading is part of the original game, I see no value to Niantic of introducing it in this version of the game...
