TM usage on Tyranitar

All the teams in my area have formed a raid group it's been awesome in the past 2 days I've done 8 level 4 raids. Have done 3 Tyranitar ( caught 2 and 1 ran). I've accumulated quite a few fast/charge TM. After the raid I caught 96% lvl 20 IT/C I want to max him to my level 36, worried I will roll FB and then C again and just waste 2 TM obviously want SE but could also be ok with C BUT I also already have follows:
Lvl 31 87% B/C
Lvl 20 91% IT/FB
Lvl 20 90% B/C
Lvl 20 82% B/SE (attack 10)
Does it make more sense to max out the B/SE at 82% or would you be ok using both TM on 96% even though I can end up in I guess worse outcome another B/C but have used 3 TM to do it.

Candy count should be the deciding variable , I wouldn't TM crunch on T-Rex tho no matter what

Yea I'd have 3 with B/C though, but it is 96%. Also could work on the 82% B/SE but iv is a bit low for me because of the 10 attack stat.

The difference in attack ivs does not affect its functionality in battle. Your 82% with an attack of 261 fully maxed is nearly equivalent to your 96% with (assuming perfect attack) 266 attack {I took the ivs of each tyranitar and added them to tyranitar's base attack when fully maxed, 251}

From a collector's perspective, I can see how this would sway your decision, which has also led me to investing in mons with higher ivs

Personally I would kill for the b/C team yo have , you gonna have 3 out of 6 line up ready for meow , that is not a joke , se is better or not than C is debatable but every person know that only b/C Tyraniter will be the cat killer
B/C is the optimal for Tyraniter in my book , unless he got double rock move

So it appears that the trade off would be more TM uses for a higher Iv Pokémon. Although cp is not the determining factor for gym placement, and therefore cp does not matter as much, especially a difference of 14% ivs, I would go for it and use the TMs

The downside would be you would waste more TMs, but you will eventually will acquire more. In terms of practicality, it would make sense to invest in your current B/SE, as the difference in IVs isn't significant and will not affect performance, which would allow you to save your TMs.

It comes down to whether or not you are willing to invest more TMs into a higher Iv Pokémon

Would you just roll the quick to Bite and leave it alone.? Or try also for SE again worst case scenario is I end up back to B/C and have just wasted 2 Charge TM :(

It's up to you, here's what I'm thinking about out that suggestion:

  • B/C is an excellent moveset from any perspective
  • TMs are unlimited; it sounds as, if I'm correct, you would rather preserve your TMs? I have a different view, in that I will continue to get them over and over and over, albeit it may be fast or slowly.-which is why I wouldn't mind if I had to spend multiple TMs to obtain a certain charge move (even if it were 10 TMs!).
  • given my understanding (on how you would prefer to conserve TMs), I would at least change IT -> Bite , and then use the charge TM. If you end up with B/C, It wouldn't hurt to power it up. You can always reroll later! Perhaps in the future when you have more TMs available?

Did you just say your worried about using a TM ??? Wasting it etc. The raids just started and you already have a bunch so who cares ... tomorrow you'll get 10 more .... this whole game is so devalued ... and you caught 2 Tyranitar .... so what was once an insanely hard poke to get and get with high iv is now as simple as driving around and finding him at a gym raid which obviously is super easy since the whole thing just started and you already have 2 ... so after a month how many Tyranitar and Snorlax will you have .... this whole game is soooooo devalued and a waste of time.
