TM perfect Arcanine?

I have a perfect Arcanine. CP 2697 (level 36.5) Fire Fang/Fire Blast.
It is one of my favorite mon because it was my first perfect I caught as a wild Growlithe.

Presently, it is of marginal use, ranking as my 4th to 6th for best attackers to solo Scyther and Porygon. (It's not a difference maker but there to clean up if the supreme counters faint before I finish).

I have reviewed the current rankings and see that it now has Wild Charge available as a charge move and Snarl also ranking higher as a Fast move.

I currently have 19 fast TM and 10 charge TM. Is it worth teaching this guy new moves?

I think it's definitely worth a TM to Wild Charge if you're going to use it as a generalist. Especially if it's your favorite mon!

However, this removes its ability to counter Steel and Grass types. Wild Charge on an Arcanine is good for fighting Walrein and Lapras and, to a lesser extent, Kyogre, since it carries ice resistances while countering water.

Keep the current moveset if you want a fire attacker, and TM to Wild Charge if you want more of a generalist or niche electric-attaacker.

It really depends. As far as a fire-type, Arcanine is good, but there are better options. Giving it Wild Charge could make it accomplish different objectives, mainly countering Ice/Water types or as a helpful gym sweeper. Still, as you like it, it isn`t that bad, just take a look to see if anything else needs a Charged TM, as those are a lot more important than Fast TMs

The way I see it, if Arcanine is one of your favorites, then there's nothing wrong with changing up it's moves/powering it up as you see fit. I'm always a proponent of using Mons that you find fun, even if they aren't top of the line.

Now, as for TMing your Arcanine, what do you plan on using it for? Wild Charge is a good option if you're putting it in gyms (it'll catch water attackers off guard), and you could theoretically use it as a counter for Kyogre with Blizzard, though Waterfall will likely still chew Arcanine up pretty quick.

If you're sitting on a pile of TMs that are taking up bag space, then there's nothing wrong with changing up moves just to try them out!

Since Kyogre has only Waterfall as quick move now and the legendary birds are kind of gone (who knows...), I don't see many good uses for a Wild Charge Arcanine for now except against the eventual Water/Ice foes with Ice attacks. Plus, two of the Regis are weak to fire, and if you want to save Charge TMs I would say to keep the dog as it is.
