TM on Dragonite with Lagacy Moveset (DB/DP)?
My Dragonite has two lagacy movesets -> DB and DP which is B-rated. What's your opinion should I use a TM or not?

It comes down to if you value legacy moves vs (somewhat) utility.
The problem with dragon breath is that it generates energy very slowly. OR is currently superior to DP because it does an extra 20 base damage for an additional .2s cooldown.
As you know from experience, DB is nice because of the extremely short cooldown; it's what it has going for it in favor of DT in terms of dps and eps. However, Dragonites current movepool isn't as friendly towards DB. OR, like dragon pulse, leaves dragonite vulnerable for a long period which sort of defeats the purpose of having a quick move with such a short cooldown. Hurricane is great because it has a very short cooldown (2.0s) BUT it requires a lot of energy which takes a while to charge with DB compared to DT. And hyper beam...lol
Anyway-if you're going for functionality, I personally would go for hurricane to continue to benefit from the short cooldowns. That being said, as DragoniteSlayer keeps noting, you'll lose a piece of Pokémon Go history if you don't have another dragonite with DB/DP. Another argument for this train of thought is that DB/DP may present a higher trading 'value' compared to DB/OR in the future. And the last supporting piece not to use a TM (which is possible but I don't think is probably) is what if Niantic issues another rebalance and DP becomes as relevant as OR?
At the end of the day if it was my dragonite with decent ivs, I'd refrain from using a TM. Just me though. Oddly enough if I had a KC/Submission Machamp I would TM Submission into DP. Not consistent but whatevz
DB isn't slow on energy gain.
It's just Dragontail is one of the best moves and is better.
However, if you are a dodge quick moves from defender type player. There are times when DB > DT.
Basic rule of thumb odd number of DBs wins all based on what you fight into the defenders attack window.
5 DB > 2 DTs
4 DBs < 2 DT
3 DB > 1 DT
2 DB < 1 DT
Ahh damn. Didn't know the energy gain between DB and DT was insignificant. I had thought DT was significantly better. Thank you man
Let me correct my initial post: the energy gain on both moves is slow. DB/OR is counter intuitive from a dodging perspective. DB/DC holds more value from a dodging perspective! But since that isn't an option, I place value on DB/Hu.
