Can somebody explain why TS is listed with a true dps on raichu over spark when spark has more dps and more dps with stab. Just trying to learn here

TS is faster...so makes it easier to dodge.
The dps difference is only minimal, and TS has faster enery gain.

Most electrics need to dodge...so faster quick moves with quick energy gain is preferable (at least for the way I play)

Right, I get that but why would that give it a higher true dps. Because isn't that just one single use? So shouldn't spark have a higher true dps when it has a highwe dps and dps with stab?

Not complaining. My raichu has Thunder shock. I just want to understand is all

If you were to use the Quick moves only, then it would not be higher dps...hitting quick moves as fast as you can will give better dps to Spark - but only .24 dps difference. Yes a quarter of 1 damage.

The higher overall dps from TS comes from having your charge move avaialble faster/more often.
Charge moves are where your dps is now.

So for .24 dps...I would surrender that for a faster charge move.

All that said...no moveset is BAD anymore, but there will be moves and movesets that compliment your attack style more.

EDIT I just realised I have not answered what you are specifically asking, after rereading the question again - yes, someone has a typo on the web page for these moves

Spark has marginally better DPS.
Thunder Shock has marginally better EPS.

The two are incredibly similar. I wouldn't be too concerned either way.

The difference used to be bigger. I am kind of surprised that with the recent move changes Niantic actually made Spark and Thunder Shock closer. Spark has a little lower DPS and a little higher EPS than before the change. There is still a difference, but it is much smaller. The main noticeable difference now just that one is .7s long and the other is .6s long.

No one really answered - looks like a typo or other error AFAICS.

Spark: 6/0.7 = 8.57, * 1.25 = 10.71 with STAB
TS: 5/0.6 = 8.33, * 1.25 = 10.42 with STAB

These are as published on this site, and according to the explanation that "true DPS" takes into account Base Attack, there is no logical reason that TS would somehow have get a higher DPS - maybe they switched the values?

Nice pick-up...
