Thoughts on new Gym rework - Raids?

So if you keep up with the PoGo news there's been a few leaks about the next update. Go check out Trainer Tips on YouTube for a few bits of leaked code and speculations about how it will work.

Sounds like the game will alert you when the app is closed about potential gym "raids" near you so you can open it up and join. Like how Ingress currently works. Also new Pokemon interactions.

This has been a public service announcement.

I've got five gyms at my campus, and all of them have somewhat frequent turnover. Looks like I'm gonna be bombarded with messages 24/7. RIP.

Yeah notifications for every gym turnover would be a very bad idea. Curious how this raid system will be triggered or organized

I would think big groups of rivals in the same place might not be what Niantic would want for legal purposes. Although the only ones that upset me are the spoofers who I'll never see
