Those EX Raida are some kind of a joke

So we have a new wave of ex RAID passes. And.. i didnt get an RAID pass on my lvl 40 acc. I got there around 160 legendary raids and 50 normal raids. I also have a lvl 24 acc where i got 14 legendary raids and 3 normal raids. I was doing same RAID from both accounts within a 20 min break beetwen them. I got an ex raid pass for the lvl24 acc. You got to be kidding me. That was the only raid i did this week on that acc and i did the literally same raid on my Main acc. Why i didnt got an ex invitation on my main acc? What is this?!

I guess main question would be: does your level 40 have a Mewtwo already (or an earlier invite)? If you already have one, that could vault your 24 to an equal, if not, greater likelihood.

I never had an invite on my lvl40, so i dont have mewtwo on it. Im wondering why i didnt got IT on my lvl40 althought i did same raid from both accounts

That is some bad luck then. Best answer: it takes time--my city has had them every week since 9/14. They are finally getting to where just about everyone has had 1 invite and more and more are now getting followup ones. Does seem like a bad week to miss though b/c actual Christmas is the following week

In my area, most of the hardcore players haven't got even one, despite grinding at the known ex gyms for weeks. There's a very small minority who've got more than one invite. I don't believe time will help anymore and it feels like the other hardcores are giving up too. Just gotta get used to the idea of never completing the dex because Niantic made a system with no rhyme or reason to it.

A friend of mine and myself did a raid with a group of about 17, the same Suicune, same gym badge levels all around. Out of that entire group only 3 got EX passes, including one that already had a mewtwo.
Not sure what Niantic is on but it has to stop now. They're only hurting their own game if people get mad enough.

hahahahahaha.

Ex raid system sucks and is unfair. Nothing you can do about it, deal with it.

I'm going to log in on the 11th only because i have an ex raid pass, even though i'm retired they decided to give me one. Get the mewtwo, go home and resume real life :)

My entire town of 40+ active raiders all well over 100 raids have zero invites.

Over 250+ legendary raids and 150+ normal raids our town getting its first two ex raid pass this week both of witch I have gold gym medals on and raid at least a few times this week but yet I was left out while many others got the pass mostly low level acc at that.

I got my first raid invite after a single Magikarp raid at a gym without any medal, back when I had done fewer than 10 raids (only T1 and T2) in total.

I won't say that the current Ex raid invite system is broken, because I doubt it even exists.
I refuse to believe that any person who is getting paid real money could create sth so idiotic.
For all we know, Ex raid invites could just be given out using a lottery system that randomly picks 1 out of 100 people that have ever done a raid at any particular gym, with not any additional criteria.

Secondary accounts are taking away potential passes from main accounts. OP is angry, but he/she is contributing to the problem.

Been discussed on the Silproad and based on what information is available it points to yes. Additionally, in very congested areas where PoGo is very popular (Japan/Singapore), it would be a safety hazard to invite everyone who qualified to an ex raid, it would make absolute sense to cap the numbers.

cap is 40 though and frequently we are seeing raids with < 10 which in some cases make the raid parties only borderline viable.

Thank you for pointing this out. Although in my area, spoofers probably take a much larger share. They need to crack down on spoofing.

I received my first pass on a raid I was doubting to go to. Then I decided to play with my ex-shave account, but forgot to relog and accidentally played with my main account.

Good thing I accidentally played with my main.

I have heard other high level trainers in our city speculating that Niantic is prioritizing lower level trainers, may be to increase their player/customer base (as the high level players already are addicted to the game)

I agree with that beginner skew for the 11th b/c Ho-Oh was still in play. The 18th might have been brought back to the middle. Mewtwo is flat-out easy to beat, him being 40 might have entered into the equation in a negative way--the 24 is a nobody player (literally) maybe it doesn't register in their time to beat projections

In my discord group there are many reports of alt-accounts and people who raid infrequently getting an ex-raid pass at a gym that is gold for me, and that I raided at at least twice in the last week. There are also very few reports of more hardcore players getting ex-raid passes. So, I think frequent raiding puts you at a disadvantage for getting an ex-raid pass. Maybe, the trick to getting one is to stop spending money on the game.

I'm secretly enjoying the fact some high level players (who may be spending lots of money) can't get everything simply by playing enough or paying their way to get it.
Sounds like self-entitled people and I'm secretly enjoying. In case you're wondering, I've only gotten 2 so far. Caught both. A 70-something and a 96%.

Answer: To discourage alt account cheating.

You're not the first one to post this, maybe Niantic's anti-cheat measures are working.

P.S. I hope trading is never introduced.
