Think the CD moves will come again?

A friend I have has a guaenteed lucky Bulbasaur. I found out he's willing to trade for my shiny eevee (so glad to get rid of those) and we didnt before because he didnt know I had an extra shiny eevee. I was wondering do you guys think its possible they'd do a re-rerun of the CD moves?

I'd say there's maybe a slim chance they unlock all CD moves again next year. However I think it's more likely they would only unlock 2019 CD moves.

Agree. There will be another event like this one for the 2019 CD mon.

There's always a chance. There are constantly new and returning players, and with the rest of Gen4 and PvP coming soon, I expect the game to get more popular.

Now..., Niantic isn't known for being fair, but it's a real shame that players coming back or starting after this year won't be able to get these exclusives moves that can make or break a certain pokemon. I'd expect them to be back one day, but not any time soon. But they will be back, maybe for a mini event in the future.

I'd do the trade then sit on the Bulbasaur either way. That way if they do another re-run of the moves you won't miss out. If they don't then hey, free lucky Bulbasaur.

Purely speculative and we won't know for another year, but what I could see them doing for next year's CD weekend is allow *any* previous CD Pokemon to evolve for its exclusive move, even if heightened spawns are only for the next 11 featured Pokemon.

I could totally see this. Boosted spawns for the class of 19 CD but have all CD moves available by evolving

Exactly. Given how highly sought-after some of the event exclusive moves are (looking your way Metagross) it doesn't make business sense to not reintroduce them periodically.

This

Only reason being that if you don't execute this trade and he somehow lucks his way into a bunch of luckies, BAM no more lucky bulba/s.eevee

My bet?

They WILL be learnable in the future... via Training. This probably won't happen until 2020 or later (after a full year of PvP being out, and assuming the game is still making money) but I can fully see the CD moves becoming Trainable moves. They're added on Community Day, you get a chance to evolve right to them, but from that day onward, if you want the move you have to Train for it.

That makes sense. If I was mean, I would say that this is why Niantic won't do it, but I'm not...
