There will be Valentines Day event?

Like the past year, double candies and pink Pokemon, what do you expect?

Last year valentines day had double candy, earn buddy candy twice as fast, increase pink pokemon spawn and 6 hours lures.

Expect nothing. Then you can't be disappointed.

I'm curious about what their event model will be going forward given the onset of Community Events. Having a monthly event may obviate the need for holiday-specific events. If we keep having both, then they begin to lose their meaning.

Community events are 3 hour only, they cannot replace those regular events which usually last more than one week.

Quiet a few of my team mates work in hospitality and can't make the community events, hope they switch up the time sometimes. Also in many parts of Australia 1300 to 1600 is punishingly hot and very uncomfortable to play in.

I know people hate these critters but... shiny Nidos?
I mean, I'd take that over a Luvdisc invasion any time.

The Nidoran are my grinding Pokemon. Very common around here, and almost always caught with a single regular ball, in complete disregard of the CP or weather.

The only mon I've caught more of is Eevee.

My whole city save for one park seems to be lacking in them. Only nests give me the best source for either of the Nidos, plus design-wise they're cool to me. And my Nidoking managed to stand to Jolteon boss' attacks pretty well.
Eevees on the other hand, they're rarer here than even the Nidoran in that park.

They might just make all pinks get shiny varieties, which might explain the shiny Cleffa. Also, for some reason, the shiny Chikorita line was found in the code too. No idea under what event they will be added.

Sadly, I missed out on last year's Valentines Day event. If another one is going to happen this year, I look forward to playing during this event.

The problem last year was the repetitiveness. There are a lot more pink pokemon in the game now, including the appropriate Luvdisc. If they extend it to pink and purple, that is even more.

I have a feeling that they will release latios and latias as it fits but that may be a bit optimistic

My guess is it will involve double candy, but will otherwise be somewhat different from last year. Maybe new Gen3 mon that are pink (Luvdisc?, meh). Maybe Latias (he's pink, right). I suspect it is not a coincidence that Kyogre's visit ends on 2/14.
