Is there a way to find out what raids are going to take place?

From my house, I can only see one gym on the main screen on the game. So I only know in advance raids that are about to occur at that one gym. Are there ways (not including direct communications with other players) to find other gyms at which raids are about to occur and what the bosses are once the raid starts?

gymhuntr.com- this will give you a countdown of when it starts plus what it is after it hatches.
Silph Road's website should be growing with the use of Silph Radio, it is a way to see raids starting and how many players will be attending and a way to chat.

I"'ve only known about gymhuntr 3 days. It has helped me a few times, but the Intel has been largely missing to count on it too much. I'll keep trying and hopefully figure out how/what they do.

Someone started a local Pokemon facebook group and many in town use fb group messenger to co-ordinate raids. It will come down to what most people in your area are using.
