There should be a badge for soloing.
C'mon Niantic, there should be badges for soloing at the different levels. It would be nice to actually see your accomplishments, not just remember them.
Then I would actually do more.
What do y'all think?

But raids are all about the coming together of people, half of whom you don't like and would never interact with in any other situation.
It's about sharing, letting everyone who still plays this game have 200 legendaries, even those who have to ask every raid what Pokemon to use. Karl Marx would be proud.
It's about screaming with excitement and posting it on social media when you catch a legendary, even though it's as easy as buying a big fish from walmart. Like who the hell cares if you bought a big fish?
Tier 3 raiders are those who go out and fish, looking for a challenge and the thrill of completing it. Ultimately though, that's not the type of person GO is aimed for.
GO is aimed at the masses of sheep who will spend lots of money. So i'm afraid your idea of badges for solos isn't going to happen sir.
If you want a challenge, be like me. Go to the gym, challenge yourself to improve over time. Muscles have to be earned, they cannot be bought from walmart. Real people will respect you for that.
Not a perfect comparison but sorta true. Roids do provide a quick and easy path in the same way Go is aimed at players who like a soft, easy game. Maybe some roidheads play go? :D
The difference is roidheads will lose all their steroid gains if they stop taking the drugs, taking roids is like renting muscle that isn't yours. Don't take steroids.
It would be nice, but that's not what higher level raids are for - even for t1, suggested group size is 5 (level 5 noobs, no doubt); for t2, only Cloyster is challenging for higher level players (full disclosure: I haven't succeeded yet ... at level 39), but it certainly shouldn't take a suggested group of 9.
So no, Niantic won't add a t3 solo badge because it doesn't want us to solo higher level - t2 and up, and certainly t3 - raids.
So soloing t3 leaves us with its own rewards ... the payoff, which is nice, and the ability to brag about it on sites such as this one (right, Harry?) :D
I live near a retirement community, a level 33 my color started being active and being gym leader in gyms I had 60-75 days defending...a Machamp popped up so I left the grocery store to beat it quick. That level 33 rolled down her window (75-80 y/o lady), asked if we could beat it or if we needed more...I said we've got plenty (I saw a level 38 my color who raids a lot in a car a few spots over). She got her very first Machamp it was a 1586 (ouch on the IVs)...anyway that thing is probably 2500cp right now, knocking down all the gyms I'm too bored to bother with
I'm sure you made her day.... no, week! Helping others has its own rewards. When 2 fairly new Instinct players (23 and 28, but only 2 months experience) asked me for help with an Alakazam, I could have laughed and refused, especially since they had just kicked me out of my gyms. But I didn't, we all got our Zam (I probably couldn't have soloed him), and I got an invite to the city Discord which finally allowed me to do t5 raids.
We may be mad that Niantic makes it so easy for noobs to tag along on raids... yes, but why not if they're little kids, and how should noobs ever catch up otherwise? They still don't have the mon we do ("You have a dragon? Really?" Oh, no, I have 7 dragons ;)
I once soloed a MagiKarp with a level 9 account. Recommened group size 5.
Those laughable group size recommendations are another example of how Niantic make this game for noobs. I've literally never heard of any other game that is intentionally aimed at noobs, not since i was about five years old and i used to play snakes and ladders.
