Is there any way to know if your friends are online?`

I've sent a couple pvp requests but it seems people aren't online when i do. I really want to pvp and get rewards but it's not looking feasable. If any one knows if there is any way to know if they're online please let me know.

There isn't, and that is something they really need to add.

Would be nice if niantic adds couple of status: online and will accept pvp challenges. Maybe on later updates.

The blue light means they're online. (At least in my experience)
