Teammates in unpopular cities

Any suggestions on how to meet people from the same team to group for gyms? I tried national pogo forums or websites but thats not very popular in my country (not to talk about my city) and most are even abandoned. I though about renaming my pokemon to some sort of message to teamates when i put him in a gym. Something like LFGtogyms. What do u guys think?

Relevant info:
-My team is the weakest here
-Im still not lvl 30 making it hard to takedown and secure gyms with strong pokemon
