I hatched one and it doesn't have Grass type quick move. Whatever, I have Meganium and Bellossom now.

They should have left it with just Vine Whip. Before Gen2 update, two thirds of Tangela's available movesets were usable, now only one third are.

If anything needed to change, they should have replaced Sludge Bomb with another grass move. It could have been really nice to have Tangela be rare, but have every one be a usable for prestige.

Tangela has been a struggle for many people I know.

I got very lucky however. He was my very first 5K hatch, although at the time I didn't realise how rare he was. Hatched a few more since, but never seen one in the wild.

Never saw it in the wild but hatched it 3 or 4 times and got lucky to get one with 98% and one with 100% IV lol

Here in Italy I have caught 43 so far! Even powered one up to level 30 because I love them so much as prestigers.

If you want to catch one, go to a city with Grass biome.

Quella con 1850 CP e VW+SB è già tra i miei migliori attaccanti di tipo Erba! Per ora me la tengo volentieri, poi spero migliori ancora con la Gen 4 :)

I live near a water biome and see them often.
They are a great mon to prestige with, the solar beam is the charge move that hits pretty hard. Good HP, too.
I really like using them.

Seen 12 Caught 12...probably about 8 are hatches, but I have caugh them in the wild.

I have rarer mons, but I won't say it is common in any way.

Not rare in this grass/water biome. I've viewed 53 and caught 41. I'll add to that that I see them very often but no longer bother with them.

Tangela is pretty rare for me, too (seen 5, caught 5 - mostly hatched), but not as rare as Porygon. I've only ever caught 1 (half way through level 32). It's going to be a LOONG time before I need that up-grade that is sitting in my inventory.

Seen 12 caught 11, now you talk about it, it does seem rarer than I thought. I do use one of them to prestige vaporeon though, 1230 CP with VW/Solar Beam, very sweet spot.

Living in a water biome and never seen one before. Hatched about 10. Now during my trip in Bali I have seen multiple, but often I was in a taxi and unable to catch them.

They are less rare in other areas. I'm a perfect 33/33 on them!

They're fairly common here in Texas, and I catch them in my neighborhood about every other day.

Seen 5, caught 5, all hatched. Never seen one in the wild. So yes, very rare indeed.
