surrounded of bad luck for movesets.

Got a 98% Giarados got crunch
Got a 93% steelix got crunch
Got a 88% scizor got night slash

So in resume all the frigging pokemon that i've been saving candy for MONTHS got stupid dark attacks..
Not to mention .....

Got a 88% Blissey got Psyich
Got a 93% Magneton got Magnet bomb

I'm really pissed with evolutions at the moment.. I got nothing but horrible unuseful attacks.

If I want to have a Fire pokemon then I want FIRE attacks not dark not anything else... I know this might come from original pokemon but it's really stupid. Why would you go battle with a Fire pokemon with Electric attack in first instance? It's nonsense.
I cant remember the last pokemon evolved who got a DECENT moveset.. just can't remember.. really all I get is all bad.

I use a Magneton with Magnet Bomb against Dragonite, it is sooooo useful, Magnet Bomb can be used often.

I am jealous of your fire mon with elec move. Because it is really good for gym defending. People might attack with water mon but.. who ever imagine fire mon has electric moveset!! cheer up!!

I first thought the defending Arcanine had Wild Charge, but it was actually Bulldoze! That was a big pain for my attacking Rhydon.

Well.. seeing it from that perspective it could be very tricky :D

Anyway I just have 1 Growlithe.. I am very happy tho.. I wanted to have that pokemon since the begining cuz I saw in gyms but i had 0. Now I have one and 20 candies. I would need 2 more hatch to evolve.

Coming up with possible uses of the things he mentioned is besides the point. Relevant to the game but not his point.

Hes simply unhappy with the rng element, and with reason as it can get annoying.

The main problem is the rng combined with the weeks and months of grinding. You can get all your effort smashed by a disappointing moveset and you are left with something you consider useless.

(whether its got a use or not, if its not want the trainer wanted they are going to he unhappy with the results of their effort and it spoils the excitement)

Its made even worse by these rare evolution items now...ive already done scizor, was lucky enough to get a rare as heck 2nd metal coat for my 91% Onix. But tbh the chances of me getting a steelix moveset that isnt gonna disappoint me is pretty low.

Anyway....i think a simple TM/move teaching mechanical for a stardust cost or something...with completely solve this.

Then the idea of hoping for a certain moveset upon evolution will just be for convenience...meaning you dont have to spend extra to give it the moves you want.

The random moves do have a use. Niantic basically gave pokemon allot of new moves with defence in mind.

For example an archanine with wild charge...the idea being someone uses abwater type to counter your fire defender, then gets zapped with a super effective electric move.

Its a pretty interesting idea to some and they have fun using these kinda 'strange' tactics to surprise people in gym battles.

But some don't care at all for the idea and obviously would prefer their first evolution they grinded for got stab moves

not to mention some moves are just so bad the are useless like night slash on a 97% scizor (they are rare here)

or only having enough candy to evolve one porlygon to get a sub optimal moves and then a second upgrade which you know you'll never ever be able to use

i think the evo items are most frustrating as rare and rng to get so you are excited to be able to evolve then bam dashed hope.

I agree with you on TMs. I have always loved the idea of exchanging dust and / or candies for TMs (or a re-roll).

Wow you mentioned all the bad movesets but do you ever get the good ones? They all seem useless got to be honest here, I wish you better luck the next time you evolve a good pokemon. About Magneton just forget about it, it's such a useless pokemon to begin with but since he got good IV, keep him for the future gen 4 when Magnezone is obtainable.

Yeah I won't delete them. You never know if in the future pokemon can learn new moves or they power up some moves or have another evolution.

Yes I did get good ones but I can tell you .... 40%.. Counting my TOP STAR pokemon they are like 15.. I meant top because they had good IV and I like them and they are good too. I have to be precise
Vaporeon 97
Espeon 97
Exegguttor 93
Flareon 88
Jolteon 97
Typhlosion 97

All good movesets. Vap is Aqua tail which is great (yeah .. long time ago I wanted hydropump which is consideed FAR more hard to obtain) I have that attack on a starmie but is low cp.... rest of my pokes not good moveset. all Rated D or worse...
