Sun Stone Value

Sun stone is used to get sunflora or bellossom. Sunflora isn't great. I personally think vileplume is better than bellossom, based on current movesets (at least not worse). I have two sun stones now, so next lucky egg I'll get those pokedex entries. Beyond that, is there value to a sun stone? Sunkern is common but the use of the item makes it slower, so it's not useful as a spam evolution during a lucky egg session.

Edit: In comparison, kingdra is a useful mon, so dragon scales always have value to make another. Scizor is very useful (a lot of people want two..double steel and double bug), so metal coat has consistent value. Each new one is worthwhile. Slowking is another. Porygon2 is alright and (long term) porygonZ has crazy attack.

In comparison, sunflora is not useful and bellossom is worse than vileplume. So, the only value is making a worthless sunflora, similar to a pidgey or rattata mass evolve. But, because of the sun stone, this process is slower, so I wouldn't even do it during a lucky egg session (few seconds, but still could mean one less evolution...why risk it?). So, the only thing to do with it is to make a sunflora as soon as you get it, maybe use it once to prestige something, than transfer it. Is that right?
