Sun Stone Suggestions

Just got my 1st sun stone and need some suggestions. I've been walking with my oddish buddy to evolve to my 1st vileplume (currently 107 candies) because i do not have one in my pokedex and oddishes are hard to come by here, so was wondering should i use my sun stone with my oddish or sunkern anyone know what would be best?
