Style Shop & Clothes

I regularly change my clothes and although I'm sure there's no correlation it seems to bring me some kind of luck. Today I caught a Tangela for the first time. She was right at the beach too. Not sure if this is a normal for the biome. During the water festival I put on the magikarp hat and everything orange I could. Managed to nab to shiny-karp. There have been other instances too where when after changing I manage to catch something cool.

Again, I'm sure this is random and there's no correlation to encounters but I'm curious to know anyone elses experiences after a wardrobe change. I doubt this is even something that can be proven either. If you've been wearing the same thing since launch try mixing it up!

I should also add that I have not purchased anything in the shop. I've been considering the tuxedo coat but I think I'd realistically lean towards storage and incubators.
