Stories of your 10 oldest pokemon....

I walked that Gholam hundreds and hundreds of kilometers. I only recently switched him out because I felt secure with over 800 candies. Also with the new addition of a raid boss I came probably continue to accumulate more.

Clefable was my very first 95% pokemon and I began powering it up immediately. After the most recent dust event I decided to max her out. She has pound too, I hit her with a TM 4 DG.

I want to power up the Eggs because confusion but reluctant because 84%.

That Shuckle sat at the bottom of a gym in a very high traffic area for about 4 days back when gen 2 first launched. Nobody fuckles with shuckle.

I wasted the names on umbre/espe but was happy to learn about walking.

Walked that Charizard forever for the dex entry.

The houndoom was one of my original 2k mons that I put in gyms when I was a lowbie.

And there's a Gyarados and Ditto too.

My oldest is a Vaporeon with WG/HP. Caught as an Eevee back when I was still trying to figure out how to throw balls properly. When I found out about the name trick, I immediately tried it on him, not realising that the trick only works once. Powered up from ~600 CP to ~1700 CP, he was among my key prestigers.

Next three are a Cloyster, Kabutops and Tentacruel, all originally hatchlings. The Cloyster was my buddy for 150 km (Ice-types are very rare here) and took down a few hundred Dragonite before I caught my first double-Ice Lapras during the water event. Never managed to catch (or hatch) a second wonder Kabuto.

Others include my first Dragonite (with SW/DP) which I powered up to level 30 during the CP-creep era, a 100% Magmar that I almost transferred after winning another from a raid (thank God I asked Blanche first!) and a Slowbro that I used to put in gyms.

A few keepers, these are the ones in August 2016 that I still have: 98% Arc at 2444cp now, some confusion exeggutors, Lapras from August 1st is oldest; 1st Machamp was iffy at best. Still plan on really powering the Arcanine up before any Entei...even though I have 119 Entei candy.

My oldest is what must have been my first ever butterfree. Level 9, 27%, 0 attack, caught July 12, 2016 (started on the 10th). All other caterpie we're evolved for xp.

My second oldest is an Electabuzz caught at the height of the summer craze. I was in my little downtown area and I heard someone shout "Electabuzz!" I assumed this must be rare and awesome, so I ran as well down a short alley and caught a cp ??? Electabuzz. I powered it up once because I could. It was always wretched in battle. Turns out it had terrible ivs, but it shall remain as a level 14.5 memory forever.

The only other memorable one is a vaporeon that I was incredibly upset to hatch as an eevee from a 10k egg. It turned into my highest cp pokemon though as an 82% WG/HP Vaporeon. He was my go to attacker for months and it was always maxed at my level. Now it is at level 33.5 and mostly forgotten. I still used it against arcanine and entei though.

I also have a vileplume and victreebel at about 1100 cp. Both have solar beam. I remember being excited that I could FINALLY take down those pesky vaporeons at the top of all the gyms!

And number 11 is a lapras that I caught on a bridge in an area where lots of people were playing, the first time I played around other people and saw herds of people running towards it.

Funny, I was just looking at my own oldest pokemon a day or two ago.

#1: My starter pokemon.
#2: 1st pokemon I ever evolved or named.
#3: A wonder Eevee I held onto for months, waiting to make it my first Flareon during a double exp event. By the time I finally did evolve it, I was almost level 30, and it was too weak to be useful anymore, so I made a different Eevee into a Flareon first, then found out the name trick only worked once.
#4: Caught fully evolved, my first 3rd form, and first buddy, walked close to 200 KM just for extra Pidgey evolve fodder, and because I hated to switch to something that took 5x as much walking for the same amount of candy.
#5 and 6: The first two pokemon I ever powered up, spent about 13k dust on each before evolving them, then didn't like how quickly that was burning through my dust, so I decided not to power up anything until I was higher level.
#7: My strongest pokemon for a while, and frequently my main attacker once I started using gyms.
#8: Hatched, then sat unevolved until I could get double exp from an event. Then later I decided I could use a Gengar for raids, and he was still my only one, so I powered him up.
#9: Caught at the zoo, by the chimpanzee enclosure.
#10: 1st pokemon I finally decided to power up seriously, because I kept getting shaved out of this one gym and needed a defender that wouldn't sit at the bottom.
#11 and 12: Two more of my best attackers for a very long time.

My oldest is my starter from Professor Willow, a Dratini. jusk kidding, it’s a squrtle.

My fifth oldest is a Rock Throw Omastar with 15/12/10 as A/D/S.

My ninth oldest is a Diglet with 6k+ battles won - yes, my bubble strat Attacker.

What a great question. They are all gone, all turned over since the beginning of summer. Except...my oldest which incidentally I just grinded for candy the other day, and was suprised to find him still in my dex, was my starter squirtle that i proudly made into a blastoise way back when (before I realized what I was really doing as squirtle candy is so rare where i am). Then i realized he was only 56% IV and still kept him because he had W/HP and he looks so massive. but alas, looks aren't everything, and I needed room so i finally pullled the rip cord and transferred him. He is gone -- in place of another wonder squirt 2.0.

The Charmander was born on 7/14/2016, and the Gyarados on 9/22/16

Can’t remember all 10 per day but I hatched my oldest Chansey a few weeks into playing the game.

That Jolteon was a hatched Eevee during my son’s 4th Birthday party weekend out of town.

I was up set a bit that Exxegcuter wasn’t a perfect after hatching it. So close but still evolved it nonetheless.

1. Arcanine, arrived by bus in Marseille, la France, for vacation. As soon as I walked out, I found this wild Arcanine. In the early stage of the game it was back then, I went nuts. It was mid night and my most desired catch for that moment.

2. My legacy KC+CC 95.6% Machamp is my second oldest. Will never erase him for nostalgic reasons and the memory that I was so lucky to have one of the best fighters for the moment in time.

3. Poliwrath, a blast from the past when they were still relevant meta defenders. It has a couple of wins behind it's name.

4. Same goes for my Rhydon. With 2000 CP it was very high & rare back then.

The remaining are some old catches I decided to keep. Legacy golem I hatched at kijkduin in the Netherlands.

My oldest pokemon is also fitting for the pokemon chronology (Rhydon is the first pokemon). He is now my number 1 raikou counter (15/14/12 and Level 38)

Second oldest was a pinsir hatch. With legacy fury cutter.

Third oldest is Wild Venusaur. Caught with 999CP. Was my highest, so it was??? CP on the screen. I completed Venusaur dex before ivysaur. Caught it with a great ball as I didn't unlock ultras yet

Forth is a golem. Was from a 93 wild geodude. Has legacy ancient power.

Fifth is tentacruel. My first 95+ that I appraised and it came with optimal PJ/Hydro Pump.

Sixth is farfetched. No idea why I kept it.

Seventh is my first pikachu. That sums it up.

Eighth (gyarados) is my first 100 IV. Came from 75 CP magikarp, 1000 to power up and 23 HP (old formula). Not sure if wild or hatched, most likely wild as I should have gone well beyond level 10.Now my most useless pokemon out of top 12.

Ninth is nidoqueen. A bit shafted by the nerf but part of my B team for Raikou.

Tenth is my first snorlax on the way to summer work. 66.7 IV
