Steel Wing/Outrage Dragonite - any good for attacking?

I have evolved 98% Dragonite (which was exciting). Just now I wonder if there is a point in maxing it out with this moveset? This C rating is so underwhelming.

Is ranked C not because bad is because is compared with the other movesets, if you compare it with other optimal A from other pokemons, it would be S

Outrage deals high damage, steel wing does less damage and less energy than dragon tail BUT is faster cast and has decent damage too, besides all about the outrage

I have this moveset, i use it often as attacker and defender, powered it up till lvl 35, 3400 cp

I would, it is still a D'nite and has great base stats, plus 98%, and will reach a high CP.

Try him/her in a gym, I think you will not be disappointed. I don't think there can be a bad D'nite!

U only have 168 mon with 11 dragonite

I have 999 mon with only 1 dragonite DB/HP

It's a 355 Ferrari. Ferrari folks may say "yes but there is a better model" which is true. It's still a Ferrari though and runs like one.

Strep wing offers type coverage against rock and ice too which are my go to types for taking down dragons.

SW is the highest DPS quick move in PoGo, but loses to DT because of lack of STAB.
I have one at 96%, powered up from 802 to about 2700 now. I often use it against Hyper Beam Blisseys, I don't think it loses out to DT/OR that much.
For defence, SW still does decent DPS and covers 3 of Dragonite's 4 weaknesses, OR covers the last weakness and hurts even with dodging.

Not really the best on offense, but it truly shines on defense in the areas where fairies are common, but ices and rocks are rare.

Ice and rock are also weak to steel. SW/OR, SW/DC, SW/DP have complete coverage.

Yeah, but although SW has the type coverages, DT still does more damage and gains a greater amount of energy compared to SW.

I forgot to mention a thing: it is the most useful in a place where fairies are as common as Pidgeys, the only situation that SW might be superior to DT. However, it is still good to surprise attackers, maybe brakes their strategies by accident.

SW's power against Fairy: (11•1.25+6•0.75)2.8=6.518
DT's power against Fairy: (15•1.25•0.8+9•0.75)/3.1=7.016 (immunity = 0.8 multiplier)
DT is still superior to SW in the fairy cases, though.
