Steel not SE vs. Alolan Ninetales?

This is the first mon Blanche throws at you in Ultra League. Yet Meteor Mash is said to be "Not very effective"? Ice and Fairy should both be weak to steel, so it should be doubly effective, right? Looks like a bug to me.

Yes, this looks like a bug. I got the same thing. Fire was Not Effective, but Water was Super Effective. I've filed a bug report to Niantic. Suspect all the Alolans are using the resistances and weaknesses of the Kanto forms.

The Alolan Pokemon currently have their Kanto typing.

^ this. Apparently this was discovered during a PvP tournament on YouTube, I believe. Alolan Mons are currently bugged and have their Kanto typings. So it treated Alolan Ninetales as regular (fire-type) Ninetales, which resists MM.
