Is Starmie useful?

Got a couple of good Starmies with high IVs (>90) and Water Gun + HP. Is it worth some candy to make a useful atacker?

I like using them for prestiging. I have a couple between 1200-1280CP.

Haven't bothered to spend dust on them powering them up. Just use them where they are. They are great attackers, just make sure you dodge. And watch out for Dark (Bite) and Bug (Megahorn) attacks.

They have a 210 attack rating, which is (slightly) better than Vaporeon. Great for prestiging with 1200+ CP. I wouldn't power them up. Also, they don't need stellar stats used for prestiging.

Only if you have huge amounts of dust and candy. Starmie is good to prestige, but if you want an way to defeat Rhydons or the like you can spend some on them, since their attacks do massive damage

I've been hearing that of prestigers.. I never do that because you rely on very good dodge skills. I managed to beat a Vaporeon 2400 or so with Tangela 1300 53IV....... happened that I dodged TOO GOOD but I usually SUCK.

I have a Vap 95% 800Cp and Starmie 1100 93% both HP...but they usually faint if I failt to dodge Charge Attack so in the end I don't know what's the benefit, if you die before kiling 1 it doesn't count so you need above average dodging.

It has really nice attack stats. But I prestiged many times. And for me vaporeon anyway is better. Maybe it takes a few seconds longer with vaporeon to take down enemy, but it can take over 1-2-3 pokemons. And starmie is very weak, so it dies very fast even with dodging.

I have one near 2000. I love the way takes out fire but mostly with rhydon (2900+). It kills them in about 15 sec just by dodge that one charge move!
