Squirtle 82 Iv 555CP (Evolve) vs Blastoise 86 Iv 486CP (power up -perfect move set)

Bit of a dilemma - I've got 98 Candies but just caught this 86.7 Iv Blastoise with Water Gun - Hydro Pump but only 486 CP ... power up or evolve the Squirtle and hope for the best... I know I'm still 25 candies short of the 2 stage evolve. Any thoughts?

i would wait for the 2 stage evolve and save your stardust. you can always use your 486CP Blastoise for leveling up friendly gyms if you come across the right matchup.

This! I have a 625 CP Blastoise, and it's really useful for training even though it doesn't have the best moveset.

It depends of how much stardust do you have. If you can power up this Blastoise until its maximun and still have stardust enough for your other pokemon, do it!

You will NEVER have enough stardust. It's not worth it for a glorified Vaporeon.

I took the decision to power him up - got through around 50 candies, and had the stardust anyway so not too much of a drain. Now he's a 1200+ :) will keep going when get more candies in and top the dust up. Doing the same with a low CP 97.8 Iv Gengar too.
